Pre-Release Video Conferencing (PRVC)
The Division of Adult Parole Operations (DAPO) now offers Pre-Release Video Conferencing (PRVC), allowing County Probation staff the ability to request access to inmates housed in a CDCR prison who will be released to PRCS. This is an important opportunity, allowing the Probation Officer an opening to meet their future client and deliver pre-release planning services, providing much needed assistance prior to release. The PRVC program was implemented on March 5, 2018, in collaboration with the Chief Probation Officers of California (CPOC), and provides reentry services to counties to enhance public safety. The PRVC program is available to all 58 county probation offices for utilization.
